Our Mission
Restore Salon Services offers professional hairstyling to those unable to visit a salon, enhancing confidence and self-care during challenging times. We bring the transformative power of a haircut directly to homes, hospitals, and other locations, aiming to empower and heal individuals and their support circles.
Where We Started
Richard Cornish, our Founder and Executive Director, Saw a need for haircare services for kids and their families and caregivers that are in the hospital or are unable to make it to a salon. Richard was drawn to the Volunteer services Department at CHOP where he met Stefanie Groff, who is the mastermind behind creating a paid position, and hiring the very first stylist for one of the most prominent hospitals in the country, Amy Moore led the program to receiving one of the CEO’s biggest gifts of discretionary funds at her disposal to our program.
We came together and saw that this healing and affirming service provides power to the often powerless, and RESTORES a sense of self love and healing for the whole family unit. This is a roving service that meets this population and the LGBTQIA population where you are, and we provide these services for no charge at all to the kids and their circle of care.
